The Design Industry’s Biggest Inspiration Hub
Every spring and fall, thousands of designers travel to High Point Market—the world’s largest home furnishings show—to discover the newest trends, textures, and tones shaping the year ahead. If you love timeless, comfortable, and personality-filled design, this is where it all begins.

What Is High Point Market?
Picture an entire city filled with beautiful showrooms, each one bursting with furniture, lighting, and décor from around the world. It’s where interior designers, stagers, and furniture retailers gather to see, touch, and test what’s next in home design.
The energy is contagious—imagine hundreds of creatives all excited to spot that next great piece, color, or finish. Every booth is a mini experience, from lush fabrics to sculptural lighting and handcrafted furniture.
My Personal Mission
This year, I went to Market with one very specific goal: find the perfect family-room sofa.
Our downstairs family room is where we spend the most time—movie nights, game nights, and lazy weekends all happen there. So, comfort was non-negotiable.
And I found it! The fabric was perfectly soft, the seat depth was exactly right, and I could instantly picture my family curled up together. (Spoiler alert: I’m already counting down the days until it arrives.)

The Trends
If fall is your favorite season, you’re in luck. This year’s Market was all about warmth, texture, and coziness. Every showroom felt like a hug—layered, glowing, and full of personality.
Here are the top trends that stood out to me:
1. Patterns Inspired by Nature
Floral and leafy prints, organic shapes, and even subtle animal motifs were everywhere. Nature is definitely back in the spotlight, but in softer, more sophisticated ways.
2. Brass & Gold Finishes
Warm metals dominated lighting and furniture details—even the insides of lampshades were lined in gold, creating the prettiest ambient glow. Chrome has officially taken a backseat to brass.
3. Cozy, Touchable Textures
Velvets, chenilles, and minky-soft fabrics invited you to sink right in. Designers layered multiple textures to make rooms feel richer, softer, and incredibly inviting.
4. Pleated & Fabric Lampshades
These classic shades are having a major comeback, adding charm and personality to modern spaces. They instantly make lighting feel custom and collected.
5. Warm, Muted Color Palettes
Think mauves, soft pinks, greens, and warm beiges—tones that feel cozy yet elegant. Even neutrals leaned toward honey and clay undertones, adding warmth to every space.

The Color Story
The color combinations this year truly captured that “wrapped in comfort” feeling. I’ve created two Farrow & Ball palettes inspired by what I saw—because their paints deliver rich, saturated hues that never feel overpowering.
These tones are sophisticated, warm, and timeless—the perfect mix for homes that feel both grounded and alive.

Bringing It Home
High Point always reignites my love for design—it’s a reminder that comfort and beauty can (and should) live side by side.
If you’re ready to create a home that feels layered, personal, and timeless, I’d love to help you get there. Let’s turn inspiration into a space that truly feels like you.
